Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a school district in South Carolina for the upcoming academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct, specialized instruction in both individual and group settings to support students' academic, social, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the success of students.
- Ancillary responsibilities include assessing student progress, modifying instruction as necessary to meet each student's IEP goals, maintaining accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth for students with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Ability to create and implement IEPs and modify curricula as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
