Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to work full-time across school sites in Richmond and Oakland, CA. This position involves providing academic assessments, supporting IEP implementation, collaborating with faculty and parents, and ensuring students receive equitable access to educational standards.
Job Responsibilities :
- Administer academic assessments and write academic assessment reports.
- Present findings at IEP meetings and meet all IEP timelines and IDEA requirements.
- Collaborate with faculty to implement student modifications and accommodations in general education settings.
- Assist in developing the master schedule to accommodate IEP needs.
- Develop progress monitoring tools for student goals and share updates with the IEP team.
- Regularly collaborate with team members and related service providers to review data, ensure IEP implementation, and co-plan / co-teach.
- Provide health and mobility support, including assistance with toileting, g-tube feeding, and administering medication under nurse supervision.
