Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Fayetteville, NC area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to provide high-quality support to students.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Associates degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
- Certification: Active North Carolina SLPA License issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a school or pediatric setting
- Must meet all local and state requirements for employment in a North Carolina school district, including:
- Completion of a board-approved SLPA program
- Compliance with fingerprinting and background check regulations
- Up-to-date TB test and immunization records
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to students
- Implement treatment plans and intervention strategies as directed by the supervising SLP
- Work with students individually and in group settings to support communication goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards
