We are hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our team! This full-time position will allow you to work with K-12 students, developing individualized education plans and supporting students with a range of learning needs. If you are passionate about helping students reach their full potential, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for K-12 students.
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to support student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting plans and goals as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Provide both academic and social-emotional support to students with disabilities.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school team collaboration.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required.
- Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with K-12 students with varying disabilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, case management, and compliance with special education laws.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
