Special Education (SPED) Professional - Middle School - North Chicago, ILSpecial Education Teacher (SPED) Qualification & Requirements :

Eligibility for this Special Education (SPED) Teaching position requires that you hold a Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field & possess a valid State Special Education certification - Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide direct instruction and support services.
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and consult with school professionals.
  • Address behavior management needs effectively.
  • Support students in preparing for transitions and future success.

Details & Requirements :

  • Middle School Caseload, Self-Contained classroom (around 8 students).
  • Disabilities include anxiety, depression, and school-avoidant behaviors.
  • Valid Illinois PEL.
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM.
