Blazer Jobs isseeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Watkins, CO. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position, and we are interviewing and hiring immediately. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse needs, providing individualized instruction, and creating a supportive learning environment.
Job Details:- Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 40 hours per week
- Caseload: Special Education students across multiple grade levels
- Duties: Provide direct services to students with disabilities, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with the general education team
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with a variety of disabilities, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, and emotional disturbances
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and goals as necessary to meet students needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families regarding student progress, goals, and services
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and assessments
- Provide training and support to paraprofessionals and other support staff working with students
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education (or a related field)
- Current Colorado state certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, educational strategies, and special education law
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
