School-Based Special Education Teacher
Blazer Jobs is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will create a supportive learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of students, empowering them to achieve academic, social, and developmental success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific learning needs of students.
- Modify and adapt general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Provide small group or one-on-one instruction to ensure student progress and mastery of goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to provide an inclusive and supportive educational experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress through data collection and prepare timely reports documenting their development.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development as required.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Use appropriate behavioral management strategies to address challenges and promote success in the classroom.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal education laws and maintain accurate student records.
