To qualify for thisSpecial Education Teacher position, you must :

Hold an active state Special Education license..
Have a bachelors or masters degree in Special Education.

Make a meaningful impact in Beaufort, SC.as a Special Education Teacher by creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

Assess students skills and design tailored IEPs to support their academic and developmental goals.

Update IEPs throughout the year based on students' performance and progress.

Collaborate with parents, counselors, and school administrators to discuss student progress and challenges.

Foster a nurturing learning environment by teaching and mentoring students in various settings.

Caseload details :

Providing services in a self-contained environment with 4-5 students in the classroom at a time. The classroom has a designated paraprofessional in the room. The total caseload would be around 12 students (subject to change). The students are primarily in grades K-4 with disability categories of developmental delay, intellectual disability, and autism.
