Job Overview
We are seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented paralegals/legal assistants to join our personal injury and premises liability defense teams. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of personal injury law and experience with requesting medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years as a litigation paralegal.
- Insurance defense litigation (i.e. auto negligence, premise liability, professional liability), in Florida.
- Proven experience executing billable tasks and entering time accordingly.
- Associate's degree or paralegal certification.
Responsibilities Include
- Conduct communications with clients, opposing counsel, and judges.
- Finalize and e-file court documents.
- Draft non-complex notices, motions, and subpoenas.
- Draft discovery requests and responses, including compilation of responsive records.
- Request, review, and process records / discovery, including medical records
- Perform all tasks related to scheduling of CMEs.
- Conduct background and online research related to facts of the case, case witnesses, statutory requirements, and procedural rules.
- Trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating with witnesses.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients and other parties involved in cases.
