Job Description
The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between customers and internal departments, managing day-to-day operations, while ensuring adherence to customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They are the main point of contact for assigned accounts, overseeing all aspects of the logistics lifecycle from receiving, and inventory management to shipping, as well as providing feedback on areas of improvement to the Customer Service Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & CORE CHARACTERISTICS:
Relationship Management/Communication:
- Proactive collaboration and teamwork with DC Management, warehouse staff, supervisor, and other relevant departments within the organization
- Ability to build rapport, strong relationships with customers, and understand their needs to provide tailored service
- Skilled in articulating issues, as well as resolutions in both written and verbal communication
- Communicates improvement opportunities, and works with internal partners to create plans of action
Administration/Documentation/Data Entry
- Working knowledge, or familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as SAP, or Oracle; technologically savvy in order to navigate systems, create/modify outbound orders, close out receiving orders, and carry-out shipment completions
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), preferably experienced in performing vlookup and countif formulas in Excel
- Detail, and accuracy oriented; the selected candidate will be responsible for developing, managing and distributing customer-facing reports, logging issues/exceptions, and maintaining data used for customer invoicing
- Organized with proven skills in prioritization and execution
- Monitors processing, and timely shipment of orders, expedites when necessary, and coordinates customer requests
- Responsible for compiling and managing load data, along with supportive documentation, such as bill of ladings, and pack lists
Troubleshooting/Issue Resolution
- Objective approach to solving problems, and finding more efficient ways to carry out daily duties
- Addresses customer concerns, provides timely feedback, and follows up on escalations
- Conducts thorough research on order issues, shipment exceptions, inventory and invoicing discrepancies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
· Knowledge of logistics, or supply chain processes
· Strong written and oral communication skills, fluent in English
· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
· Sense of urgency with an ability to manage multiple tasks in time sensitive situations
· Strong time management skills.
· Results driven personality, team player with proven interpersonal skills
· Flexible; willing to support team, work some overtime and meet the expectations and demands of customer’s peak seasons

Minimum educational level:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent in logistics, coordinator, administration or comparable role/work experience
Minimum experience:
· Minimum 1 years of experience in customer-facing role, along with 2 years, preferred experience in administrative position
· Competent in use of computer equipment, Microsoft Windows, Office and database products
· Competent in use of TMS and/ or planning systems.
