Anita’s Garden Shop is a high-end Garden Shop established 35 years ago in Jacksonville. We are a family owned and operated business that is seeking an experienced floral designer and team leader to join our team.
As the Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to improve daily operations, develop business opportunities, and foster a positive work environment that encourages team collaboration and beautiful designs. You will inherit and develop a wonderful team of designers who love what they do and where they work. Best of all, you and your team will delight customers all over the city.
A day in the life of a Garden Shop Manager starts early setting up the store, assuring our customers have a true garden shop experience. After checking in with your team, you will check that plants and arrangements are cared for and meet our level of quality, ensuring we offer only the best to our customers. Throughout the day you will create arrangements, consult with customers as they shop and take custom orders. Often you will decorate a vignette, support your team, and generate new ideas for improvements.
We are located in the Shoppes of Historic Avondale, which might just be the best place to work in all of Jacksonville. Great food, shopping, and strolling abound.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, motivate and inspire the team to create beautiful arrangements and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Day to day operations : including purchasing, supplies, taking custom orders, facilitating deliveries, receiving inventory, pricing, and merchandising.
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies that capture our potential.
- Plan and schedule employees and products based on seasonal demand.

The Details :
This is a full time position at 40 hours per week and pay starting at $45,000 per year based on experience.
The shops are typically open Monday-Friday from 9-5 and 9-4 on Saturdays. (Our current winter hours are Tuesday-Friday 10-5 and Saturdays 10-4.)
