We are seeking to fill Direct Support Professional positions for our 8hr shift schedule within our Day training location, providing care for adults with intellectual & physical disabilities.
Candidate must have excellent written and spoken communication skills. This position requires excellent organizational and computer skills as well as the ability to keep up with a high-demand setting.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Caregiving: 1 year experience (Preferred)
- Professionally working with people with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

All required training DDID regulations, Medication administration, First Aid & CPR is completed in house at Blessed Assurance during orientation.
Must be able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions Must pass a criminal background check Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling daily activities
- Medication administration
- Initiating Physician's orders
- Completing daily progress note
- Complete monthly summaries
- Charting on required internal documents
- Meal preparation
- Vital signs
- Incontinence Care
- Cleaning

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Direct Support Professional role. The Direct Support Professional role requires frequent: walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, sitting, reaching overhead, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Staff must meet applicable federal, state and/or local health requirements relating to communicable diseases. Work is performed mostly indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, except on occasion when participants are transported outside of the Day Training.

Starting pay $16.00 per hour
