Candidate must have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Caregiving: 1 year experience (Preferred)
- Professionally working with people with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

All required training DDID regulations, Medication administration, First Aid & CPR is completed in house at Blessed Assurance during orientation.
Must be able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions Must pass a criminal background check Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

- Charting on required internal documents

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Direct Support Professional role. The Direct Support Professional role requires frequent: walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, sitting, reaching overhead, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Staff must meet applicable federal, state and/or local health requirements relating to communicable diseases. Work is performed mostly indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, except on occasion when participants are transported outside of the Day Training.
Schedule:
- Typically two 16 hour shifts and one 8 hour shift per week
16 hour shift: 3:30 pm - 7:30 am
8 hour shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Weekly schedule will vary
- Holiday pay
- One full weekend off a month
Pay:
Starting pay $18.00 per hour

PRN POSITION:
Starting pay $20.00 per hour
PRN position(s) must work a minimum 32 hours per week (if available). To maintain PRN status no more than 3 shifts can be decline in a 30 day period. Maximum 3 shifts declined in a 30 day period is not counted after 32 hours per week is met.
