Duties
- Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction, especially in memory care settings.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients.
- Support hospice care initiatives by providing compassionate assistance during end-of-life stages.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and strategies.
- Experience in home health or senior care environments.
- Skills in meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions.
- Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring.
- Background in caregiving work or related fields is a plus.
- Previous experience providing direct support or hospice care is highly desirable.
This position requires a caring individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through dedicated personal assistance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
