Description
Blessed Trinity Summer Camp is designed to provide quality supervision for campers whose parents are in need of childcare during the day during the summer. Care is provided for all campers between the hours of 6:30am to 6 pm. Hours for workers may vary depending on need for staff and workers must be flexible to work with students from ages 5-14. It is imperative for all workers to remain calm, positive and upbeat so as to provide a nurturing atmosphere for all campers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Arrive at work at scheduled time
- To provide supervision for students while on campus or away on field trips.
- Observe, monitor, and participate in children’s play activities whether small group, whole group, etc.
- Follow schedule provided for activities with campers
- Efficiently redirect inappropriate student behaviors and implement the program discipline system to effectively monitor and guide proper student behavior.
- Foster and support their spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Workers must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around supervising playground and classroom activities. Some stooping, lifting, bending, crouching and reaching are required.
- Responsible for keeping accurate attendance of campers throughout the day.
- Summer camp workers will be under the supervision of the Summer Camp Director and will report any problems that may occur to the director.
- Hours for positions vary, but usually include weekday.
- Summer Camp workers eligibility for employment is based on the director's criteria and the 1-9 employment eligibility form.
- Workers must call into Summer Camp Director any absences due to illness as soon as possible.
- Workers must submit any prearranged absences 2 weeks prior to absence for approval.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed mostly indoors in an environmentally controlled setting or at assigned playground. Work is to be performed directly on school or parish campuses. Work from home is not permitted. Works frequently in close physical proximity to others and may encounter work in enclosed or tight spaces.
