What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Facilities position at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School?
Blessed Trinity Catholic High School has an opening for a full-time, twelve-month position as Director of Facilities, starting May 1, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day to day operations of the physical plant.
- Supervises the Maintenance Supervisor and other maintenance staff personnel.
- Arranges and supervises repairs and cleaning for all buildings.
- Being apprised of schedules for the use/rental of facilities, buildings and grounds, by any outside groups.
- Ensures that sufficient insurance is maintained for all school properties and special events.
- Services which include: shipping/receiving and upkeep of physical needs of the bookstore, cafeteria, and entire campus.
- Purchase and upkeep of transportation vehicles owned by the school following applicable policies and procedures.
- Interviews and arranges contract negotiations with vendors. Presents contracts to the President for appropriate signatures.
- Assists with planning and managing new building construction or major renovations to the plant.
- Works with Catholic Construction Services, Inc. (CCSI) as appropriate and required by policy.
- Implement the facilities for security of the property and its buildings.
- Advises the President/Principal/Director of Campus Security on school security issues, updates and programs. Serves as a member of the administrative team as needed.
- Has working knowledge of school and Archdiocesan policies as articulated in appropriate handbooks/policy manuals.
- Supports the mission and philosophy of the school and of Catholic education in general.
Qualifications and Experience:
- College degree preferred.
- Prior work experience with managing facilities.
- Prior experience in the field of education desirable.
- Ongoing professional development as needed.
- OSHA trained (AHERA, if needed).
- Candidates must have prior experience, be computer literate and have the ability to lift up to 30lbs.
This position is a key part of the leadership team who manages the school facilities. Preference in hiring is given to practicing Catholics in full communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church. All employees are expected to show respect for the institutions of the Church.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is competitive in the Metro Atlanta marketplace and will be discussed in an interview.
