JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Director of Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for leading and advancing a culture of safety, continuous quality improvement, infection prevention, and ensuring exceptional patient care within Blessing Health. This role will oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of quality and safety initiatives that align with Blessing Health System's mission, vision and strategic goals. The Administrative Director will collaborate with leadership, clinical teams and front-line staff to enhance patient outcomes, and reduce harm. In addition, the Administrative Director will work closely with relevant departments to support ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in Illinois and Missouri (Illinois license required, but may obtain a Missouri license within six (6) months of hire if not already in place).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety or performance improvement in a hospital or health system setting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements including DNV-GL, CMS and state health department standards.
- Experience with data analysis, performance improvement methodologies and quality measurement tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- Certification as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare Quality, Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or equivalent.
- Experience with electronic health records and quality data analytics platforms.
- Leadership experience in a quality or patient safety role.
