Job Title: Nail Salon Clean-Up Attendant

Job Summary: The Nail Salon Clean-Up Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing various areas of the salon, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly disinfected, and assisting with the smooth operation of the salon. A clean and hygienic environment is essential for providing exceptional service to clients and ensuring their safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Salon Cleanliness: Regularly clean and sanitize salon floors, surfaces, seating areas, and workstations.
• Equipment Sanitization: Properly clean and disinfect all tools, including nail files, buffers, manicure/pedicure instruments, and chairs.
• Restroom Maintenance: Ensure that restrooms are regularly cleaned, stocked with supplies, and well-maintained.
• Waste Management: Empty trash cans, recycle bins, and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Supply Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory levels to management to ensure timely restocking.
• General Organization: Keep nail polish shelves, display racks, and work areas neatly organized.
• Disinfection Protocols: Follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure all work areas are sanitized between clients, including using hospital-grade disinfectants on tools, chairs, and counters.
• Assist Technicians: Provide support to nail technicians by preparing stations before treatments and cleaning up after each client.
• Laundry: Wash, dry, and fold towels, robes, and other linens used during services.
• Clean Waiting Area: Maintain a clean and comfortable waiting area for clients, ensuring magazines, seating, and décor are neat and inviting.
• Assist in Inventory Management: Help track and organize product inventory, including nail polishes, lotions, and other supplies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitization techniques, particularly in a salon setting.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry up to [specify weight, e.g., 25 lbs].

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry cleaning supplies, towels, and equipment.
• Frequent exposure to cleaning products and chemicals.

Work Environment: The role is based in a nail salon environment, where you may be exposed to nail polishes, solvents, and other salon products. The pace of work may vary depending on the number of clients and the day’s schedule. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when handling cleaning products.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
