What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Baker/ Morning Bake-Off position at Bleu Door Bakery?
The Bleu Door Bakery is currently recruiting for experienced Bakers. Located in Vancouver's Uptown Village, we have established a reputation of producing high-quality fresh pastries along with popular lunch and brunch items. We have been a thriving part of the Vancouver culinary scene for the past 14 years and are looking for creative, energetic, detail-oriented individuals that genuinely enjoy the food service industry to join our team.
Hours would be Saturday and Sunday 2am - 10am
We are looking for the candidates with the following attributes:
Knowledge of all aspects of production (batters, doughs, fillings, fruit prep, pastry creams/curds, pie dough, etc.)
Organizational & timing skills and ability to multi-task effectively, with an eye for detail.
Confidence to work independently while understanding this is a team environment and willingness to help out when needed to create a positive work environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to manage pars.
- Must be reliable, creative, and passionate about producing consistent and high-quality pastries. You will have lots of input - the staff is always invited to come up with fun flavors, new ideas, and specialty items! We have lots of fun recipe testing and trying out new things.

Requirements:
- Possess current WA food handler s card.
- Able to work early mornings, 2am start time and weekends are a must.
- Minimum 1 year production baking experience or culinary education
Job Duties Include:
Making pastries, cookies and desserts from scratch
Baking off and Packing daily pastry orders
Preparing items for the following day
General production support
Washing dishes and general cleaning
We offer Health Insurance, PTO (accrual begins at day 1), employee meals, and discounts.
Pay is $20-23, including tips. Full time employees qualify for company health insurance.
