Blew & Associates, P.A. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Drafting Technician to join our team in Oklahoma City. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and drafting of civil engineering projects, including site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts. You will work closely with engineers to produce high-quality technical drawings and ensure that all specifications and regulations are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using Civil 3D or similar software.
- Coordinate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Review and analyze field data to ensure the accuracy of designs.
- Assist in preparing design calculations and technical reports.
- Make adjustments to drawings based on feedback from team members and project managers.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards and local regulations.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on drafting progress.
- Associate degree in drafting, civil engineering technology, or related field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Familiarity with land surveying concepts and site design is beneficial.
- Previous experience in drafting or as a Civil Drafting Technician is preferred.
