What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional - Caregiver position at Blick Center?
The Blick Center has been helping individuals for 50 years. Serving early childhood, school age and adult individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities, physical, and mental health diagnosis.
We currently have openings for Direct Service Professionals (DSP)
A DSP is a professional who empowers & supports an individual with a disability by providing skill development, social skills, & assisting with daily living activities (bathing, self-care, etc.). All homes are located in the Akron area.
Starting pay $17/hour plus a $1/hour shift premium for working weekends starting Friday afternoon to Monday morning.
We have flexible hours for full-time and part-time shifts
- weekdays 2pm-10pm (varies by home)
- weekday mornings 6am-9am (varies by home)
- weekend hours (all shifts)
We offer paid training, including First Aid & CPR. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Requirements:
- high school diploma or GED,
- valid driver's license with less than 6 points,
- able to push & pull or lift up to 50 pounds,
- 18 years of age & older.
