Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that all shipping and receiving operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Safely transport goods within the warehouse while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist in building pallets for shipping and ensure that products are securely packaged for distribution.
- Collaborate with team members in shipping and receiving tasks to maintain efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Support inventory management by accurately tracking materials moved in and out of the warehouse.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during operations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
