What are the responsibilities and job description for the Window Treatment Installer (Blinds) position at Blind Ambitions?
Regional Window Treatment company is seeking the right candidate for a new window treatment installer position for our new construction accounts. This is a W2 employee position, not subcontracting work. We will provide a company van and all necessary tools to start. Installations will take place in and around Richmond, Norfolk, VA Beach and Raleigh when you stay overnight. Routing is done by a central scheduler and will occur weekly. 3 days a week will be field work with new construction and the 4th/5th day will be a day trip to our Raleigh location for material pickup and to assist in the Raleigh market when necessary. All meal and travel expenses are covered.
Typical day: Arrive at our storage facility, load up today's blinds, drive to construction location around Richmond/VA Beach. Install blinds per company guidelines. Upon completion of install, clean up, dispose of all trash, ensure job is 100% and drive to the next appointment. Maintain organization and cleanliness of facility and vehicle.
Job Requirements:
-Ability to correctly use and measure windows with a tape measure.
-Previous installation experience of products requiring taking measurements and drill installation, is strongly desired.
-Previous PROFESSIONAL blinds and/or plantation shutter experience moves you to the top of the list.
-Must be good with tools.
-Must be able to troubleshoot small mechanics and think mechanically.
-Clean appearance and excellent customer service skills are a must.
-Punctual, determined, highly ethical, safe driver.
