What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Bus Attendant position at Blind Brook School District?
- The Blind Brook - Rye Union Free School District is looking for a few interested individuals to join our elementary school community as part-time bus attendants. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of our elementary school students during their daily commute between home and school. You will be responsible for
- Assisting the bus driver in loading and unloading students safely
- Monitoring student behavior and provide a safe and positive environment
- Communicating with school staff regarding student issues
- Assisting in keeping a clean and orderly bus
The hours for this position is from 7am-8:30 am and from 2:45pm-4:15 pm , five days per week. You can work either the morning or afternoon shift or both. Earn between $17.71 and $22.63 per hour while making a difference in children’s lives. This is a 10 month position.
Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department is required. Experience in schools and with students with disabilities preferred. High school diploma or GED.
