Team Leader

Our need is for a Team Leader to join our new AbilityOne Base Supply Center at our NRL, DC location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team based environment.

So, what will you actually be doing?

The successful candidate will be able to:

1. Assist management to coach and mentor store associates and foster customer rapport.

2. Market & Maintain specialized customer accounts.

3. Greet Customers and Assist Customers with product selections to exceed customer expectations.

4. Perform receiving, inspecting and unloading deliveries.

5. Process receipts, invoices, and releases

6. Staging and preparing shipments.

7. Verify and load products onto delivery trucks.

8. Operate a computerized Point of Sale System.

9. Perform register functions and take customer orders via all methods available.

10. Accept/Handle orders and/or special-order requests and prepare written proposals/quotes.

11. Pull and assemble customer orders for pickup/delivery.

12. Complete documents as required ensuring error-free for quality control purposes

13. Operate and maintain material handling equipment, i.e. fork lifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.

14. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and retail store.

15. Assist with delivery functions as needed.

16. Assist with product purchasing functions for both inventory stocking and special order requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Attendance Required: 100%

2. Basic reading, math and computer skills.

3. Must be proficient in keyboards, computers, MS Office, Retail and Inventory Mgt Systems and Internet.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

5. Ability to accurately read, interpret and transpose documents for data entry and customer use.

6. Interact with customers in a positive manner and do problem solving…” Customer Service Skills a Must.”

7. Must be proactive, energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

8. May routinely lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

9. May work in an environment of temperature extremes.

10. Is required to stand and walk for long periods of time.

11. Must possess and maintain a forklift operator’s safety training certificate (if applicable).

12. Must have valid Driver’s License 2 or less points.
