What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman and installer of Custom Closets and Blinds position at BlindSide Window Coverings/The Closet Guy?
Closet/Blinds installer
The below description is correct, but first and foremost I am looking for someone that, after gaining a good knowledge and skill set of the installation process will quickly move into a foreman type position. You will still be doing installs, but you will be leading the jobs. I will expect attention to details, thorough communication with me about job details, other employees, clients, and all the things that involve a job from start to finish.
We are looking for an energetic go-getter who isn’t afraid of hard work, who wants to grow with the company and who sees his/her contribution as a career more than just a job. This person will become a key component in our business and will be trained on all aspects of the position. No prior experience with sales, management or closet construction or window coverings is required, however, you must have excellent people skills, be well organized and accurate and be able to handle the physically demanding part of the job.
You will ultimately be responsible for quality and timely installations of our closet and window coverings projects.
Once trained, you will be responsible for impeccable installation and customer service. You will be expected to interact professionally with coworkers, other workers on the job, home owners, builders, and anyone else on the job site.
You will be working hands-on with the installation team in an construction trailer (the trailer is not climate controlled, i.e. it is not heated/cooled) assembling custom closets on-site, and/or installing blinds. You will also be the face of the company to our consumers.
We are looking for a person of integrity who has excellent people skills and who can communicate effectively with staff members as well as with all clients -- both builders and homeowners. You will need to be very clean with great hygiene. You will be working in some very nice houses and you need to look the part.
We are looking for a candidate who has the physical and intellectual skills required for custom closet design and construction, and challenging window covering installations: good with math (fractions), very accurate with a tape measure, able to perform the heavy-lifting and good with your hands. Specific equipment and artisanship training will be provided. No hard skills necessary.
We are looking for someone with a clean driving record who will be able to drive a pickup truck pulling a 20 foot trailer. Experience with trailers is not required, but greatly appreciated.
This is a great place to work! We care about our team and are truly looking for a person who is going to grow into a key part of our business. A GREAT attitude and a willingness to learn are key to this position. Pay will be determined partially by experience, but with a GREAT attitude, integrity and a willingness to do make sure the job is done right there is room for growth in responsibilities as well as pay. I am not necessarily looking for a certain skill set, but rather an attitude. Do you value learning and skill development? Do you want to grow with the company as you help the company grow? Do you come to work ready to tackle the day and its challenges with a positive attitude? If so, contact us!
