The Warehouse Operator I is a part-time seasonal position that will run from January through June 2025. The hours can be Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 3:30pm or Tuesday - Friday from 8:00am - 3:30pm. This role will be responsible for fulfilling order requests on time within requested quality metrics.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.
- Ability to read and fully understand written and verbal instructions for warehouse projects.
- Perform tasks to acceptable quality standards and within an allotted time.
- Inspect all material prior to packing by visual examination and/or using specified tools or aides.
- Properly count and separate an assortment of products/materials accurately and consistently.
- Counts, packages and arranges materials in packaged labels.
- Ability to easily recognize and compare 6-10 alpha-numeric combinations.
- Strong attention to detail reviewing part numbers and job orders.
- Move tables and pallets of material into place; ability to use a pallet jack.
- Palletizing material and boxes into place for shipment.
- Ability to use company scanning system and program while following guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with correcting packaging errors.
- Manages time efficiently and effectively.
- Consistently meets or exceeds picking and packaging metrics.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
- Perform ongoing daily housekeeping activities, keeping work areas neat and organized.
- Actively participates in process improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to meet production metric standards.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
- Must have high integrity, great attention to detail; and be dependable.
- Microsoft Office experience and general computer skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma
- Experience in a warehouse setting preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience desired and/or willingness to learn forklift.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work standing, walking, bending, reaching and stooping (Frequently)
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds (Occasionally)
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
