Principal Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities
1. Provides mentoring and coaching for students in the ACCSS schools to develop and accomplish their personal, academic, and professional goals. Assists students in creating a personal career path.
2. Assists students with processes related to registration, admissions process, financial aid, career services and other related topics, as needed.
3. Assists with the development of student success, retention, and completion materials and presentations to support individual and group sessions.
4. Engages at-risk, underserved, first-generation, low income and differently abled students aimed at improving engagement and ensuring success.
5. Trains and coaches students using a variety of student success strategies to include time management, stress management, communication and goal setting/achievement.
6. When possible, attends school activities and events to interact with students, faculty, staff and parents.
7. Executes responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the organization’s policies, which include the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics.
8. Responsible for understanding, supporting, and actively demonstrating the ACCSS mission, vision, and values.
9. Attends division/advisory meetings to remain current in program offerings and career/occupational trends.
