This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Optional coverage’s can begin on your first active duty date. Leave time includes 96 hours vacation, 40 hours discretionary and 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick each month. Principal Accountabilities
- Assists the Esports Manager/Head Coach in identifying vital needs and strategy of the Esports program; game strategy, multiplayer strategy, league strategy, sponsorship strategy, diversity & inclusion strategy, fundraising strategy, clinic and workshop strategy, camp strategy; social media strategy and marketing strategies;
- Assists the eSports Manager/Head Coach recruiting qualified student-athletes who have an interest in one of the College’s academic programs;
- Assists in managing the Esports players and program in a manner appropriate to support the goals of the college and develops strong sustainable platform/program for all experience levels;
- Aids with tryouts and team selections; assesses skills, experience, tracks development and guides and supports technical growth;
- Assists with game strategy and skill instruction;
- Helps ensure that program maintains a strong social media presence while maintaining coordination with the Office of Communications to ensure it is compliant with college standards;
- Collects and analyzes feedback and stats for Esports athletes to assess performance and experience and progression;
- Assist with team travel when necessary;
- Assist with care of the equipment, eSports arenas, uniforms, and inventory and make recommendations for purchases and/or replacement of equipment;
- Continuously ensure personal behavior and program reputation are in alignment with the institution values and mission;
- Maintain office hours as defined by Administrative Procedures;
- This position requires frequent night and weekend hours for practices and competitions;
- Performs other duties as assigned related to day-to-day operations as well as special projects.

- In-depth knowledge and experience with multiple eSports titles.
- Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed, fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid Texas Drivers’ License within 30 days of employment.
- Must be insurable by the College auto insurance policy.
- Must provide at least one (1) year of evidence of competing or coaching one or more of the top tournaments, leagues or popular games (League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Fortnite, APEX, the International, Call of Duty, IEM Katowice, HALO, PUBG Global, DOTA 2, Counterstrike, Smite, Team Fortress, etc.)
- Must demonstrate a strong and diverse understanding of gaming industry, competitive play, industry titles, gaming genre aspects, and gaming teams mechanics and fundamentals.
- Must be able to travel and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
