Objective
The Simulation Nursing Lab Assistant coordinates the use of the laboratory learning space for all nursing programs at Blinn College; secures all learning resources; collaborates with faculty on supplies and resources required for operating the lab learning; skilled at managing all fidelity simulation. The Simulation Lab Assistant is directly supervised by Health Science Center Campus Director of Simulation and Clinical labs and works closely with the Health Science Center Campus Lab Coordinator and staff.

Principal Accountabilities
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Simulation the Simulation Lab Assistant is a staff member who, in conjunction with the other simulation staff, has responsibility to organize the learning experiences that take place in the Simulated Clinical Sessions and Skill Laboratories. The Simulation Lab Assistant position involves collaboration with faculty and staff to assure the environment of learning is ready for students and faculty experiences.
Monitor mannequin safety and intervene when necessary.
Conduct ongoing maintenance of all simulation equipment, including cleaning, repairing, assuring that all equipment is in good working order.
Assist with restocking supplies to lab area.
Manages inventory
Retrieve and set up supplies based on student/facilitator request.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Ability to manage complicated simulation manikins and trouble shoot to solve problems
Experience with or willingness to learn simulation systems/technology and equipment with labs

Ability to be flexible, balance competing priorities, and work independently
Ability to work with and communicate effectively with faculty, administrators, staff and students
Knowledge of ordering supplies and managing inventory following the college guidelines
