Essential Duties
- Assist with daily operations of Game Room and/or the SLA Front Office.
- Assist SLA staff with activities/events held across campus (data coordination, venue design, set-up, program implementation, break down).
- Observe appropriate dress codes as set by SLA.
- Possess and demonstrates excellent telephone etiquette and provides superior customer service.
- Assist the department with student, staff/faculty, and community events within the student center.
- Report damage or theft to the SLA staff immediately.
- Serve as a communication liaison between students and SLA staff.
- Maintain acceptable work standards.
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient customer service.
- Effectively address questions or problems presented, or make appropriate referral.
- Respect confidentiality.
- Be friendly, cooperative, and appreciative to other personnel.
- Support other staff members.
- Act professionally and as a SLA representative.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be federal work study eligible.
- Must be at least a half time student.
- Must be willing to learn and train effectively and efficiently within a team oriented environment.
- As determined by federal work study program.
- Light lifting & carrying, under 15 lbs.
- Moderate lifting, 15 to 44 lbs.
- Straight pulling, repeated bending, simple grasping, walking, standing, sitting, twisting, kneeling, pushing, stooping, seeing, identifying colors, depth perception, writing, counting, reading, telling time.
