Maintenance Technician – Bliss Vacations
Location: Smoky Mountains, TN & Florida Panhandle
Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time
Job Summary:
Bliss Vacations is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our short-term vacation rentals. The ideal candidate is experienced in general property maintenance, troubleshooting repairs, and ensuring an excellent guest experience through timely and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance work orders, including appliance repairs (washers, dryers, refrigerators, microwaves), plumbing, electrical, and general home repairs.
- Troubleshoot and assess maintenance issues to determine route of repairs.
- Perform pre-arrival and post-departure property inspections.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks.
- Perform task , including hanging TVs, pictures, painting, and general labor.
- Run errands and purchase necessary materials for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tasks, time, and costs for reporting and invoicing.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.
- Knowledge of A/V equipment, home appliances, fireplaces, and HVAC.
- Experience with hot tubs, spas, and pools are a plus.
- Strong communication and guest service skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in outdoor conditions.
