Job Summary
Bliss Wellness Market, located in the Carrollwood area of Tampa, FL, is a plant-based modern apothecary and wellness market that specializes in mushrooms, adaptogens, cannabis, & psychedelics. Our small business can also be found as a vendor at various festivals and events throughout the state of Florida. We are currently seeking an Herbalist Key Holder with a background in retail sales, herbalism and has a passion for plant-based health.
Responsibilities
- Opening and closing duties, such as locking and unlocking doors, counting and logging the opening and closing of cash drawers, disarming and arming alarms, and ensuring the store is secure before leaving.
- Maintain the daily operations of the store, including assisting customers with product inquiries, operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently, assemble products according to provided instructions; ensuring accuracy and quality, assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, and oversee other daily tasks.
- Responsible for learning and mastering plant remedies that are sold in store.
- Ensure a hospitable environment for customers; providing them with advice, guidance, and education on the products that will benefit their specific needs.
- Maintain proper inventory levels by restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the store and back room is well-stocked and visually appealing
- Work collaboratively with other team members to manage projects, track progress, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Expand store traffic and optimize profitability at festivals and events by engaging with customers and selling products.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down store displays for weekend festivals and special in-store events, including physical tasks such as carrying bins, arranging displays, and setting up hardware.
- Continuously update product knowledge and sales techniques through training resources to enhance job performance and stay up to date and current with products.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security measures, safety regulations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Availability/Transportation:
- Must be available for both weekdays and weekends
- Weekend availability is crucial due to store participation in weekend festivals and events.
- Must have own/reliable means of transportation
Education/Experience:
- College degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar industry (retail, sales, cosmetic counter, health & wellness, etc)
Skills Required:
- Positive and enthusiastic energy, with the ability to engage and connect with customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn about store products and educate customers on their benefits
- Reliability, trustworthiness, and flexibility with schedules are essential.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy merchandise or equipment as needed. Around 50 lbs.
- Ability to meet the physical/mental demands of the job and work comfortably in a fast-paced retail and event environment. Some demands can include, standing for long periods of time (around 4 hours), dealing with very large crowds at one time, and being outside all day (in hot & cold weather)
