Associate Software Engineer, Online | Diablo IV | Albany, NY or Irvine, CA

Responsibilities :

Coordinate with client engineers on gameplay simulation and network efficiency.

Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to assist in server deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

Deliver code that is robust, extensible, flexible, and simple to use.

Stay up-to-date with multiplayer gaming trends, tools, and best practices to enhance the online experience.

Minimum Requirements :

1 years of professional engineering experience with a strong focus on C  or equivalent work / education experience.

Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

Knowledge of low-level networking technologies (TCP, UDP) and communication protocols (Protobuf, RPC).

Bonus Points :

Interest in developing distributed services within cloud environments (GCP, AWS) using containerization & orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Interest in modern C language features

Familiarity with relevant SQL / NoSQL persistence technologies (SQLite, Cassandra, Redis).

Basic understanding of security best practices (encryption, denial of service).

Linux development experience.

Enthusiasm for shipping and supporting a Live product at a global scale.
