Senior Account Executive - Public Relations

Do you have a passion for media and communications? Do you have a knack for writing and love coming up with creative ideas? BLND is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Account Executive to join our public relations team to lead a variety of interesting client accounts.

As a Senior Account Executive, you'll lead 5-6 high priority accounts in all areas of public relations, acting as a resource for both clients and the team. You'll bring your passion for media and communications to the table, creating exciting and newsworthy campaigns for our clients.

Senior Account Executive Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and build long-term partnerships with key client groups
• Provide senior leadership to Account Executives/Coordinators
• Lead client accounts, operating as primary point of contact and strategy lead
• Media pitching to a variety of their close contacts
• Execute and keeps track of client PR campaigns and projects
• Take ownership of storytelling with new and creative ideas, driving the editorial strategy with content pitches, press alerts and new campaigns in a range of media, developing PR plans for clients on an ongoing basis
• Provide feedback and dialogue with existing clients, and evaluate success of current and past projects
• Monitor the industry and external climate to advise on public relations strategy and positioning
• Lead development of press materials including press releases, executive bios and more
• Review, polish and present client presentations and wrap up reports 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications or related field
• 3-4 years of experience in the public relations, journalism or marketing industries
• Strong client relation experience
• Advanced understanding of the media industry and brand communications strategies for B2C and B2B companies
• Energy, and enthusiasm for public relations, with a deep understanding of the media landscape
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail, able to shift tone and messaging depending on the client
• Adaptability, and willingness to pivot with changing timelines and priorities as necessary
• Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines

Things That Will Make You Stand Out:

• Experience using Muck Rack, Qwoted, and/or other public relations tools and software
• Photography and editing experience
• Experience using graphic design tools such as Photoshop or InDesign
