Position Summary:
The Program Support role is key in ensuring the successful operation of established programs at the Immigrant Welcome Center. This position is responsible for running programs with excellence, strengthening relationships with community partners, and leading volunteers to create a welcoming and effective service environment for immigrants.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Leadership
- Lead and facilitate existing programs, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants, addressing any immediate needs.
Logistics & Resource Coordination
- Organize materials and resources for ongoing programs and new initiatives.
- Ensure the facility and materials are ready for each program session.
Community & Partner Engagement
- Maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings.
- Act as a point of contact for organizations, volunteers, and participants.
Volunteer Coordination & Support
- Train, and oversee volunteers to support program execution.
- Ensure volunteers are engaged, prepared, and effectively contributing to program success.
Administrative & Data Management
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of programs.
- Track key program metrics and maintain accurate records to assess program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in community programs, volunteer coordination, or leadership roles is a plus but not required.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse community members and organizations.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable leading volunteers and coordinating activities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
