What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Leader position at BLOC Ministries?
Overview of BLOC:
We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 45 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors.
About the Role:
The site leader assumes a pivotal role in fostering a secure environment for all youth, teens, and community coming to the site. Their duties encompass not only establishing but also sustaining the organizational framework and cohesion within the team and site. Collaboration stands as a cornerstone of their approach, ensuring seamless integration with fellow team members. The site leader dedicates themselves to nurturing meaningful connections within the community served.
What you will do:
- Support Raise Salary
- Live in the neighborhood
- Collaborate with Curriculum Developer and Event Coordinator to execute plans.
- Meet with director weekly
- Support other site leaders by serving on their team as needed
- Attend all staff meetings, retreats, and staff events
- Meet with mentor
- Maintain safe spaces
- Attend weekly Neighborhood Hub Team meetings
- Fearlessly get know your neighbors
- 40 hours a work week with flexibility
- Live in agreement and comply with BLOC employee handbook
- Other duties as assigned
