About the role
The Solutions Architect is the key link between Block Harbor and our customers, owning relationships and driving value through a deep understanding of their pain points and creative solutions. This can include predefined services or custom solutions. You"ll navigate roadblocks, create proposals, define project timelines, and ensure technical execution. In a competitive cybersecurity market, we pride ourselves on delivering the best value, outperforming larger competitors. Your role focuses on clear communication, ensuring customer satisfaction, and guiding projects to deliver maximum value. You"ll also mentor others to adopt a customer-focused approach across the company.
What you"ll do
- Serve as a technical point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, providing expert guidance on vehicle cybersecurity solutions and engagements. You are the primary owner of customer relationships.
- Responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales and all aspects of the technical sales process for prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Building trust in the customer that Block Harbor is the perfect partner to serve their needs.
- Collaborate closely with all teams, translating customer pain points, requirements and technical information to ensure accurate scoping and successful execution of engagements.
- Effectively communicate the value and benefits of our vehicle cybersecurity product(s) and services.
- Conduct in-depth discussions and presentations with clients, addressing their concerns, explaining technical details, and highlighting the outcomes and deliverables of our engagements.
- Lead the preparation of proposals and technical documentation for client engagements, ensuring they are comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their cybersecurity challenges and providing ongoing support and recommendations aiming towards repeat business and bigger scale projects with Block Harbor.
- Provide guidance and expertise to both customers and technical execution teams to drive project progression and ensure maximum value delivery.
- Define and adjust the project"s technical direction as necessary, making strategic decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with the technical execution team, providing support, guidance, and addressing any technical challenges that arise.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in vehicle cybersecurity, attending industry events, building relationships, and continuously expanding your knowledge base.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share customer insights, provide feedback on service improvements, and contribute to the refining of our services, the development of new cybersecurity offerings, and maturing standard operating procedures of our service offerings.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving long-term relationships.
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience
1-3 years of professional experience in automotive cybersecurity, embedded systems, offensive security, product security, software development, IT security, or similar relevant roles.
1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the automotive or cybersecurity industry.
Strong technical background and expertise in vehicle cybersecurity practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Bachelor"s degree in relevant field OR relevant industry certifications (such as OSCP, CISSP) AND hands-on experience OR ability to demonstrate independently pursued capabilities (e.g. founder, researcher, publicly disclosed vulnerabilities, etc.).
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and make strategic decisions accordingly.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with automotive industry development processes and the challenges associated with securing connected vehicles.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO / SAE 21434 and WP.29 UN R 155 / 156.
Experience working in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
