As a HR Specialist with Block Imaging:
You would be responsible for the processing of payroll and commissioning for the Company and related entities, and for supporting the HR department with wage and hour projects, year-end matters such as the handling of W2’s, and managing on-going payroll reporting for state UIA, new state work comp registrations, and other accounting and analytical functions as needed.

Essential Functions:
- Process company payroll and coordinate related activities with external payroll company
- Update and maintain team member information in payroll system
- Calculate bonuses, allowances, and commissions for sales, purchasing, and other eligible positions
- Act as communication liaison for all commissioning activities
- Support HR Department in conducting project reviews
- Track, review, and pay HR invoices
- Setup and maintain accurate withholding and unemployment payroll codes in compliance with federal, state, and local tax agency regulations to ensure proper tax reporting and deductions
- File quarterly tax reports with the state’s unemployment insurance agency (UIA) at the end of each calendar quarter; monitor and manage unemployment claims as they come in
- Setup and maintain accurate workers compensation programs for new applicable states as needed.
- Provide routine support for A/R and A/P Functions
- Provide analytical and project based support to accounting and human resource team as needed.
- Assist in accounting and analytical functions as assigned
Objectives:
- Effective and accurate payroll and commissioning processing
- Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations
- Maintenance of payroll and commissioning documentation
- Maintenance of unemployment payroll codes, UIA reporting and registration, including state work comp registrations
- Completion of project review and other projects as assigned
- Clear communication with team members and administrative team regarding payroll, commissioning and assigned projects
Education Requirements:
B.S. degree in human resources or general business; relevant work experience with some college-level courses may be considered sufficient.
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum two-four years payroll and accounting experience
- Proficiency in payroll software
- Ability to manage large volumes of payroll data effectively
- Strong knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations
- Financial and analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate fashion
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; highly advanced MS Excel experience
