Summary: In conjunction with the Behavior Intervention Specialist, the Behavior Intervention Coach is responsible for the psychological assessment and behavior improvement of assigned individuals and for the development and implementation of individual and/or group treatment programs, either directly or through the direction of assigned staff members.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- All essential job duties and responsibilities will be done in conjunction with the Behavior Intervention Specialist and include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Participate in the development of individual program plan as a member of the Team.
- Provide crisis intervention, both in response to the crisis and follow-up services as needed.
- Ensure continuity/coordination of services with families and other service providers.
- Provide ongoing consultation with clinical, supervisory and other staff regarding psychological and behavioral issues regarding individuals under their care.
- Assists in the completion and documenting of monthly reports, services review, including behavior plans, annuals, case conferences, etc. as needed, within a timely basis.
- Complete assigned responsibilities within the preadmission process including evaluation/screening and recommendations.
- Participates in any consumer driven meeting, review, evaluation, as deemed appropriate.
- Review and understand all behavior support plans.
- Instruct staff in carrying out the behavior support plans as written. Particularly works with all residential staff on a regular basis, to implement behavioral programs and plan additional interventions as needed.
- Provide coaching to staff on how to implement the behavior support plans as written, via modeling, verbal feedback, written feedback, and additional training.
- Mandatory attendance at required inservice training, along with ability to demonstrate understanding and compliance with both OPWDD regulations and Block Institute policy and procedure requirements.
- All Block Employees will be required to learn and master the use of any and all software systems and technology utilized by the Agency, on a Program-by-Program basis.
- Demonstrate appropriate interactions between co-workers and consumers in accordance with OPWDD regulations and Block Institute policies and procedures.
- May be asked to participate in the internal incident review committee, or other committees as required.
Attendance/Punctuality: is consistently at work and on time. Hours: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday - Friday
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise implementation of the behavior support plans.

Qualifications
- BS in Psychology or related human services field.
- 1 year exp. with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- ABA Experience a plus
