What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Block Island School?
The Block Island School is seeking an Occupational Therapist to service students ages 3-22 years old one day per week. Occupational Therapy is a service provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist to address the functional needs of an individual as they relate to sensory, motor, postural or, adaptive behavior and play, and the performance of self-help skills. These services are designed to improve, restore, or maintain the individual's functional ability to perform tasks in educational settings. Rhode Island Department of Health License required. Transportation costs to and from Block Island via ferry and any housing costs for job related overnight stays will be the responsibility of the school department. Health benefits will not be provided.
