Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Journalist / Reporter to join our team. This role requires someone with a strong command of the English language, excellent research skills, and a passion for reporting on local and national news. You will be responsible for covering stories, conducting interviews, and writing compelling articles that engage our audience.
Responsibilities:
- Research, investigate, and write news stories, features, and reports.
- Conduct interviews with sources, officials, and experts.
- Stay updated on current events and trends to provide timely news coverage.
- Attend press conferences, community meetings, and events as needed.
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to refine content.
- Adapt to fast-paced reporting demands, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
- Use digital tools and social media to promote articles and engage with the audience.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in journalism, writing, or reporting (published work preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in an office setting with occasional field assignments.
- High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Fluency in Russian is an advantage.
