About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support one of our clients—a fast-growing company with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. This is a fully remote contractor position, ideal for a hands-on HR professional with experience in start-ups and a proven track record of building the HR function from the ground up. You will work closely with executive leadership and other key stakeholders to implement scalable people strategies that promote growth, engagement, and a strong company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build HR from Scratch: Lead the development and implementation of the HR function, establishing the foundation for scalable systems, policies, and processes in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
- Talent Acquisition & Management: Manage the entire employee lifecycle—including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and talent development—with a focus on tech and IT roles.
- Employee Experience & Engagement: Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, well-being, and professional development across a distributed workforce.
- Legal Compliance & HR Policies: Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws, manage HR documentation, and develop internal policies, including matters related to immigration when applicable.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to support strategic decision-making around employee performance, retention, and engagement.
- Coaching & Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior HR team members and promote a culture of learning and development.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders, offering strategic HR insights and regular updates.
- Social Media & Employer Branding: Collaborate with the marketing team to create and share engaging HR content that supports the client’s employer branding goals across social media platforms.
- Culture Development: Play a key role in shaping and strengthening a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven company culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in HR roles, with significant experience in start-up environments. Demonstrated success in creating HR operations from the ground up is essential.
- Skills: Strong strategic and analytical thinking, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach. Experience working with IT or tech-related companies is highly preferred.
- Personality: A proactive and enthusiastic HR professional who thrives in dynamic, remote, and growth-focused settings.
- Education: Formal education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related fields is a plus, but practical experience is prioritized.
- Availability: Full-time contractor position with substantial overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
