The welcome desk crew is the backbone of Blocworks. They are the first face and potential relationship a new customer will encounter. Our welcome desk isn’t just about giving customers a smooth transaction. Instead, we want to cultivate moments that are memorable and unique. Our crew takes initiative to deliver a wide range of services that guide customers through the process of climbing at Blocworks. The Bloc crew is empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done. Whether processing transactions for new climbers, learning the names of customers, guiding tours through the facility, addressing requests, signing customers up for memberships or sharing the highlights of the local area, the Crew makes initial encounters at Blocworks feel like home. As this young business continues to develop, there are endless growth opportunities available.

JOB HOURS
- 12-18Hours per week
- Available to work as early as 7:00 a.m. or as late as 11:30 p.m.
- Available to work weekends and evenings, Specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Warm Hospitality to all customers
- Managing daily desk and gym operations
- Membership management
- Customer service
- Sales
- Hourly cleaning
- Floor and safety monitoring
- Check in members
- Answering phones and basic facility/climbing questions
- Perform scheduled walk-throughs
- Assist in shoe sizing
- Facilitate tours and display proper falling technique
- Address any unsafe behavior/technique
- Member engagement
- Monthly Staff Meetings
- Must be comfortable working alone

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail Oriented
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand on unstable ground
