Position Overview
Blois Construction is seeking a Safety Engineer, firmly dedicated to achieving the highest level of safety excellence. Collaborates closely with the Safety Team, Project Management, and Resource Management teams to uphold the highest standards of health and safety across all Blois Construction operations, ensuring that no employee is exposed to unsafe or unacceptable conditions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and relationship management to help drive our continued success as an ambassador of our core values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Heavy interaction with Safety Team, Project Superintendents, Project Teams and Field personal
· Daily Monitoring and Audits for safety performance and compliance for all jobsite and facilities
· Monitor and audit all required field and project documents
· Monitor and ensure all task assigned employee have proper training certification
· Monitor and deliver Safety equipment requirements (PPE, rigging, PFAS) for all Projects
· Travel to multiple projects through the greater Ventura and Los Angeles region
· Prepare for and report Project Safety Performance summary for Weekly Status Meeting
· Assist project teams in developing JHAs Pre-task and Safety Plans for all jobs and facilities
· Assist in all monthly and Blois specific Safety Training
· Participate in pre-construction/site orientation kick off meetings for all projects
· Coordinate, Track and Maintain all Air Monitoring Equipment for CP required operations
· Monitor Subcontractor compliance
· Help monitor, promote and administrate Safety Recognition Program
· Assist in incidences and accident Investigations, documentation and reporting
Experience Requirements
· 2 years' experience in construction safety
· Professional certificates (CHST, STSC, OSHT, CSST). preferred.
· Bilingual skills are a plus
· Must possess the ability to meet deadlines, be self-motivated, detail-oriented
· Exhibit above-average interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent follow-through capability
· Proficiency in using all standard and emerging technologies and applications
· Positive driving record
