Position Summary

As the IT Engineering Manager , you will lead a team responsible for analytics, observability, and engineering support for critical infrastructure systems. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the companys IT strategy, modernizing its engineering processes, and driving technology towards industry standards.

You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and ensure the seamless operation of data pipelines, observability frameworks, and infrastructure optimization . The ideal candidate is a tenured leader, a change agent, and a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive transformation while untangling technical debt.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Set clear goals aligned with business objectives and drive team performance through coaching and accountability.

Serve as a technical and leadership role model, ensuring high engagement and motivation across the team.

Observability & Infrastructure Strategy

Guide the development of observability frameworks , ensuring end-to-end visibility across services, applications, and infrastructure.

Drive adoption of best practices for logging, metrics, and monitoring to enhance system reliability.

Optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP) for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency , leveraging automation and best practices.

Data Engineering & Analytics

Oversee the design and automation of data pipelines supporting BI, analytics, and APIs .

Ensure data pipelines are efficiently ingested, transformed, and validated for business intelligence and reporting needs.

Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights and improve business outcomes.

Collaboration & Communication

Partner with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business priorities.

Act as the primary liaison between the engineering team and senior leadership , providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.

Foster an open and transparent communication culture, ensuring effective collaboration across teams.

Performance Management & Process Optimization

Coach team members to achieve performance goals and provide professional development opportunities.

Identify and lead process improvement initiatives , optimizing workflows, automation, and system performance.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all pipelines and systems through rigorous validation and testing.

Customer & Stakeholder Focus

Deliver exceptional support to infrastructure teams by providing real-time observability insights and reporting.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand solution needs and drive impactful results.

Qualifications

Required :

12 years of experience leading engineering or operations organizations.

Proven track record of managing and mentoring cross functional teams and driving organizational change .

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies ( networking, storage, compute) and data analysis .

Expertise in observability frameworks, monitoring, event streaming, and log analytics .

Experience with Data & Analytics technologies such as ETL / ELT, Data Science, Data Lakes , and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) .

Ability to work with business teams to define solutions and optimize processes.

Excellent communication skills , with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred :

Masters degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience in supply chain operations, infrastructure capacity planning , or large-scale transformation projects .

Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Grafana, PowerBI, Datadog, and Splunk .
