- Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
- Shifts: Mon-Fri 6 am - 2:30 pm
- Starting: $36.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen and Blommer specific policies and procedures.
- Maintain work area and equipment, ensure clean, sanitary and orderly conditions, and apply 5S principals. Ensure tools and equipment is in good working order; report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the supervisor.
- Correctly complete any required reports or paperwork such as production data sheets, order documentation. Perform duties as assigned. Some ongoing duties include those listed below but are not inclusive to this position.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize mean time between failures. Conduct routine inspection and alignment checks of equipment, troubleshoot, adjust and repair. Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment reviewing work requests to determine potential nature of problem. Verify troubleshooting analysis by disassembly and inspection of components using established procedures in accordance with applicable standard and guidelines.
- Support engineering and maintenance team during project instillations and start-up of new equipment. Provide input to help improve processes and ensure their reliability.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of equipment; diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of the breakdown and repair. Respond timely to any electrical breakdown. Locate source of problem by observation, testing, talking with operator.
- Provide maintenance assistance during routine and emergency shut-downs.

Physical Requirements:
- Must stand, walk for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach
- Lift in excess of 75 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Exposed to varying temperatures hot/cold
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- Three (3) years of experience in production machine repair.
- PLC troubleshooting, installation and repair of motors. Perform mechanical skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Employee must be able to accomplish the Essential Duties and Responsibilities to be competent in the job
- Basic use of computer, tablet, scanner, iPad for recording information
- Able to read and write English to review and prepare shipment paperwork/documents
- Able to drive forklift to move product
