Available Shifts:
- 2nd Shift: Sun-Thurs 2pm-10:30pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen and Blommer specific policies and procedures.
- Maintain work area and equipment, ensure clean, sanitary and orderly conditions, and apply 5S principals.
- Ensure tools and equipment is in good working order; report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the supervisor.
- Correctly complete any required reports or paperwork such as production data sheets, order documentation.
- Perform duties as assigned. Some ongoing duties include those listed below but are not inclusive to this position.
- Provide general direction and instructions to sanitation crew based on input from Sanitation Supervisor or Manager.
- Inspect work areas at start of shift to help identify any unusual items that need to be addressed during the shift; conduct inspection at end of shift to validate completion of cleaning assessments.
- Take inventory of supplies; request refills as necessary.
- Perform equipment cleaning on key production areas as assigned.
- Operate equipment to maintain clean floors throughout the building and production areas removing dirt, spilled chocolate, grease, debris.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, locker rooms, lunch rooms.
- Wash and dust walls and equipment or tanks to remove dirt, spilled chocolate, grease, oil or any other foreign matter.
- Clean and inspect all metal detectors and magnets daily, record on HAACP log.
- Clean inside of tanks as instructed if confined space trained and authorized.
- Report any defective materials, spills or any issues that will take longer than normal to clean to supervisor.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, assigned, and directed
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Job qualifications are stated in the Essential Functions of the job description. An employee must be able to accomplish the Essential Functions in order to be competent in the job. Other special requirements are noted below.
- Must stand for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs.
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach to clean areas, push mops, brooms, and vacuum.
- Lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
- Able to provide instructions to sanitation team.
- Understand application of chemicals used in cleaning.
- General knowledge of equipment to ensure proper removal and replacement of duct work and parts.
