Blondie Events supports adventurous & alternative couples in planning stunning celebrations. Our 2025 season includes an exciting opportunity for 2 college students or new event planners to be a part of our wedding day team.
These energetic, hard-working, enthusiastic teammates will work alongside our lead planner & other event staff on 1-2 weddings with the goal of learning the steps in taking a wedding day from start to finish. A fabulous candidate will have some event or wedding experience, a strong desire to learn more, and the flexibility to follow Blondie’s methods & approach to wedding days.

Wedding Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Wedding Assistants must be available for our Highlands Ranch wedding date of 6/7/25
- Other dates may be scheduled based on candidate's availability.
- Option to attend site visit, ceremony rehearsal, & wedding day walk through the day prior to the wedding as a learning opportunity.
- Participate in all setup & cleanup on the wedding day, helping ensure all items are beautifully placed according to instructions & returned to the appropriate person/vendor.
- Follow instructions & complete tasks/requests quickly, efficiently, & enthusiastically on the wedding day.
- Support fellow planning & event staff in completing assignments or projects.
- Engage with guests, vendors, & 3rd party staff in a positive, professional, & helpful manner that ensures positive interactions with & experience with our company.
Work Hours & Benefits
Pre-event trainings are typically scheduled the week of the wedding at a mutually convenient time & hosted via Zoom.
Wedding day materials & supply prep are typically Fridays 12:00 – 3:00 pm or Saturdays 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Site visits, ceremony rehearsals, & wedding day walk throughs are typically Fridays 4:30 – 6:30 pm & optional for the wedding assistant to attend.
Wedding days are typically Saturdays 12:00 pm – 12:30 am.
This position is a short term, project specific contract position Blondie Events. Compensation of $18 - $22 per hour is based on experience and estimated at 12 – 16 hours per wedding/event.
Wedding Assistant Qualifications & Skills
- Positive attitude, loads of energy, love for weddings or events.
- Exceptional attention to detail & written instructions.
- Robust communication skills in a variety of methods (written, verbal, in person).
- Comfortable following detailed directions & adaptable to new information.
- Motivated to complete tasks independently & within strict timeframes.
- Cool as can be under pressure, ability to implement solutions as directed.
- Kind & caring towards couples, wedding pros, & fellow team members.
- Interest in developing skills as a wedding planner, event planner/coordinator, venue manager, stage manager, event florist, or similar events-based role.
- Participation in 3 – 5 weddings, events, or large-scale productions with 50 guests.
