What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technologist- 1st Shift Nashville position at Blood Assurance?
Blood Assurance has a full-time Medical Technologist position for 1st Shift opening Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, including rotating weekends and holidays.
The primary function:
- Blood Component Processing
- Screening/Maintaining rare unit inventory
- Donor Testing
- Reference Lab testing
- Consult/provide guidance for local blood banks with complex workups
Qualified candidates:
- must have current MLS, MT, MLT or ASCP Certification and AS/BS Degree.
- Blood bank experience preferred but, not required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a positive, professional attitude.
